            █  After a solo adventure and some time off to         █
            █  celebrate their 10th anniversary, BATHORY entered   █
            █  the studio to record their most brutal, lethal and  █
            █  in-your-face album ever.                            █
            █  Released in '94, it's no-mercy-given attitude came  █
            █  as such a shock to the many new BATHORY fans,       █
            █  attracted to the band for the arrangements and      █
            █  Tundra styled Wagner-metal of the late 80's, that   █
            █  many found it impossible to deal REQUIEM.           █
            █  Considered as the black sheep of the BATHORY        █
            █  inventory, it is nevertheless one of BATHORY's own  █
            █  favourites. Arrangements and sound effects are      █
            █  kept to a minimum. Delivered without compromise,    █
            █  the pace is hellish and the energy just too honest  █
            █  to ignore.                                          █
            █  Tracks such as "Distinguish to Kill" and "Blood     █
            █  and Soil" reveals that this album is for mosh       █
            █  heads only. One should have known from just         █
            █  looking at the millions of death heads on the       █
            █  cover, or the goat head symbolically impaled on     █
            █  the flaming crucifix on the back cover. Every       █
            █  single track on the album dealt with death in one   █
            █  form or another. And those death heads still grin.  █
