In anticipation for the third and what seems to be the last album
from the good folks at Portishead, we have decided to drop this
BBC Essential Mix from back in the day. This 2 hour Portishead
session was recorded on Pete Tong's Essential Mix / Radio 1 on BBC in
1995, and is now 7 years old. It's recorded prior to the release of
Portisheads second self entitled album "Portishead", so you will not
hear any of those tunes on this remix. Regardless, don't dismiss this
essential mix just yet. Take a look further down in this nfo to view
the track listing. I placed this track listing in the nfo, rather to
create a .cue file for this release as its not a CD rip.
We feel that all other Portishead fans out there should have this
release in their arsenal, and that it will hopefully serve as a small
appetizer until the release of the third upcoming Portishead album
rumored to be entitled "Alien", which I think we all are anxiously
awaiting for.
