| Some freaky music history: |
| |
| Freaks is the twisted brain-wrong of Luke Solomon and Justin |
| Harris, both of whom have gained infamy through their record |
| playing abilities and musical penchant for the damn right weird |
| and wonderful. |
| |
| Luke Solomon is perhaps best known for setting up the seminal |
| house label Classic Recordings, alongside Chicago DJ Derrick |
| Carter. He was also co-founder and resident at club night Space |
| with Kenny Hawkes, which recently shut its doors after seven |
| successful years. Luke plays all over the globe with residencies |
| in the US (Chicago and NY), Germany, France, Belgium and |
| Australia and also plays the bi-monthly Classic night at The End |
| in London. |

| Justin Harris was one half of the pioneering DJ partnership North |
| and South and resident at Bournemouth's legendary acid house |
| nightclub Kev's House. Since this formative era his stock as a DJ |
| has risen, and he regularly DJ's in the UK (The End / Space / |
| Planet K), Belgium, France, Germany, Canada and the US, as well |
| as guesting on radio stations Kiss FM, Radio Nova (Paris) and |
| internet radio stations www.gaialive.co.uk and |
| www.groovetech.com. |

| Luke and Justin's accomplished DJ stylings are captured on the |
| following mix albums: Luke teamed up with Derrick Carter on |
| Classic Recordings 2001 compilation 'Thanks For Coming By', |
| whilst Justin is set to flex on the Music For Freaks compilation |
| 'Some More Freaky Stuff Volume 2: Home Taping Is Killing Music', |
| released in April 2002. |
| |
| Luke and Justin co-founded their label Music For Freaks in 1999, |
| primarily to provide a home for their unorthodox take on House |
| music under the Freaks moniker. Their first release 'Turning |
| Orange' saw them teaming up with Joey Negro to create a monster |
| of a Deep House single. They have since released two albums for |
| the label, 'The Beat Diaries' and 'Meanwhile Back At The Disco' |
| along with a plethora of excellent singles, all of which have |
| been well received and enhanced the reputation of the label. |
| Music For Freaks has also amassed an impressive roster of artists |
| such as Markus Nikolai, Doc L. Junior, Hans Nieswandt, Tony |
| Senghore, Kenny Hawkes and Rub. |
| |
| As well as their Freaks project, Luke and Justin have recorded |
| for many of the most respected dance labels on the planet under a |
| myriad of guises. Labels include Pagan, 20:20 Vision, Phono, |
| Guidance, Classic Recordings, Seasons and Playhouse. They have |
| also had great success and gained huge respect in the remix field |
| as Freaks, remixing everybody from The Streets, Human League, |
| Marianne Faithful, Telepopmusik, IsolΘe and Markus Nikolai. |

| 2003 sees the release of their second full-length album 'The Man |
| Who Lived Underground'. Preceded by widely acclaimed singles |
| 'Washing Machine' and 'Where Were You When The Lights Went Out', |
| this album is their most accomplished piece of work to date, |
| shooting darts of twisted disco joy at the acid moon. During the |
| recording process, they assembled a six-piece band, who will be |
| recreating the album at a venue near you soon. Featuring the |
| vocal talents of Diz Washington (Iz and Diz û Classic / Chicago) |
| and Stella Attar, the album and live show is sure to bring these |
| Freaks to a whole new audience, whilst still maintaining their |
| roots within the House scene they love. |
