"fairies in the moonlight" by niju is the third release on the
Diskotiere label. Bebetta and David Hasert take up its dreamy,
mystical elements and re-interpret them, contributing a remix each.
Niju merges the soulful vocals of singer Valerie Offner with a
minimalistic melody, perfectly capturing the dark magic of a long
summer night. The rhythmical hi-hat fades into the high, clear sound
of the percussion-elements. The tune seems like an invitation to a
long-forgotten dreamworld, without being cluttered. In his remix,
David Hasert playfully takes up the dreamy yet driving elements of the
track, while Bebetta leans more towards tech house in hers. She
distorts the melody in a way that makes the track even more
mysterious.
