█ When I first received MindwarsÆ debut album The █
█ Enemy Within, I wasnÆt sure what to expect. Being █
█ signed to Punishment 18 Records is always a good █
█ sign for a thrash band in my opinion, but other █
█ than that the expectations were wide open. Then I █
█ discovered that this was the new band from the █
█ original guitarist of Holy Terror (a massively █
█ overlooked and fantastic 80s thrash act) and my █
█ expectations skyrocketed. Could it be as good as █
█ Mind Wars from the underground thrashers from █
█ decades ago? The answer is both yes and no. At its █
█ core The Enemy Within is built on many of the same █
█ foundations, but it decidedly takes its thrash █
█ roots in many new progressive directions. █
