█░ A couple days back I saw Cex live in New York (ah, the fun ░█
█░ of talking about seeing "sweaty cex live" on the subway), ░█
█░ and it was great fun. I hadn't heard his sound since "Role ░█
█░ Model" era styles, but had heard that he was "all hip-hop and ░█
█░ shit" when live, and thought it'd be fun, and it was. This ░█
█░ album follows his live styles, if a bit more relaxed (he's ░█
█░ quite "animated" on stage, and seemed a bit like Eminem, most ░█
█░ of that was the image of an angst-ridden white-boy complain- ░█
█░ ing of his rough childhood). This album sounds a lot more ░█
█░ like the off-beat "avant-hop" style, with some of the older ░█
█░ "minimilist techno" samples as loops to rhyme over. ░█
