sometimes the archives yield the best surprises. and this group is
a definite find. included on this 2-cd set are classic tracks
'sunshine's way' plus several rare b-sides, all previously
unreleased on cd. dating back to the early '90's dubtribe was one
of the first groups to take the sounds of ambient dub/chillout
music on the road, and they recorded a lot of music while
exploring the remix idea at length. trip-hop sounds with a soulful
backbeat was their trademark and it doesn't sound dated at all.
this music came from the era when spacetime continuum and the orb
were live acts, and dubtribe played wherever and whenever they
could, from their home base in the sf bay area to anywhere up or
down the coast they found a stage or sound system to plug into.
very cool music. both of these reissued 2-cd sets have lots of
ambient/chill/ tripped out/dub gems
