Ok, so, in this day and age being called 'interesting' isn't
exactly a blessing.. But it fits Andrew Broder AKA Fog perfectly.
The man makes music that I couldn't imagine any more than fifteen
in any particular country people liking, or at least, not if they
don't commit themselves to five listens. I didn't dig his new
album 'Ether Teeth' for at least that long, but man, eventually I
couldn't stop singing along to 'What A Day Day.' If this song ever
makes it to commercial radio, people will be ob-fucking-sessed.
Andrew is tight with that whole anticon thing, dose is on his stuff
more than a little.. That all makes sense, since most of anticon's
stuff is so fussed over, good, bad, whatever, same thing with Andy.
If you want golden Andrew Broder material, check out the 'Modern
Hits' EP. Superb remixes of Nas, Edan, Jay-Z, etc.. Some great
live instrumentation stuff. www.fogtimewaster.com for that one.
And work is nearly complete on 'More Modern Hits.' It should be
out by the time this is released, in time for Fog's North America
tour.
