│ With their funky fresh combination of electric beats and │░
│ live instruments such as the Fender Rhodes piano, Moog │░
│ synthesizer, bass, sax and flute, songstress Sofia, │░
│ DJ/beat maestro Juanito, electro-king Infinito Thomas │░
│ Laforge and keyboardist Prince Thomas reign supreme on the │░
│ Belgian music scene. │░
│ │░
│ First under the the name of Groove Cartel, since 1998 this │░
│ Antwerp collective has been dropping their own signature │░
│ blend of latin grooves, jazz, disco and house at Belgium's │░
│ top clubs (Cafe D'Anvers, Fil Collins) as well as on the │░
│ Dutch and French party circuit and at festivals (Audi │░
│ Jazz, I love Techno, Axion Beach Rock, Pole Pole, Hove │░
│ Live, Couleur Cafe). │░
│ │░
│ Their self-produced first single "Rumba Lunar" caught the │░
│ attention of Virgin Records after underground success. │░
│ Later remixed by Buscemi, it became a bona fide hit on │░
│ alternative radio station Studio Brussel and appeared on │░
│ several international compilations and on the soundtrack │░
│ of Erik Van Looy's film "Shades". Years of hard work and │░
│ negotiations with major record labels paid off in 2001 │░
│ when Antwerp's club royalty signed with Universal. Their │░
│ superb debut full-length CD "Ultralove" was quickly │░
│ followed by their ultra-glamorous sophmore set "Cartel │░
│ Deluxe", in honour of their name. │░
