also released as "joao gilberto en mexico" (1970, brasil) orfeon
12-717, this album was recorded during the time joao spent in
mexico (1969-70). the arrangements still have home feeling of his
earliest recordings, but the songs are completely different.
perhaps the only known song is Besame Mucho that joao also
recorded 10 years later on "amoroso". ela e carioca and esperanza
perdida come from tom jobim and in the opening there is a
beautiful samba from harold barbosa "de conversa en conversa". an
album for serious collector of bossa nova.
