Being a fan of power metal and looking ║ │ │║ for something new I checked them out and wow was ║ │ │║ I in for a surprise. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Solid power metal is present along with ║ │ │║ symphonic elements similar to Nightwish or ║ │ │║ Therion combined with the attitude of hard rock ║ │ │║ bands of the 80's. Some parts of songs will come ║ │ │║ out of nowhere and it'll get epic as hell ║ │ │║ sounding almost like a full-fledged symphonic ║ │ │║ metal band. Keyboards present all throughout the ║ │ │║ album are reminiscent of newer Edguy era (think ║ │ │║ Superheroes). The Dogma incorporates piano ║ │ │║ interludes and almost gothic orchestrations at ║ │ │║ the weirdest times but somehow it seems to work, ║ │ │║ which is the case of the opener/title track. ║ │ │║ What you will find here is a blend of styles ║ │ │║ that brings an experience that is a delight for ║ │ │║ the ears...for the most part. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ The downsides of this album are repetition, I ║ │ │║ find myself thinking the songs can be the same ║ │ │║ often. Not much variety is put forth with the ║ │ │║ symphonic elements and the vocals. The ballads ║ │ │║ are also horrendous, I find myself bored and the ║ │ │║ vocalist during the slower songs sounds can get ║ │ │║ annoying BUT, he does have a great voice I will ║ │ │║ give him that. He fits better with the up-tempo ║ │ │║ songs.s ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ This album has some great highlights - In the ║ │ │║ Name of Rock. Best song on the album and it has ║ │ │║ one of the catchiest choruses known to power ║ │ │║ metal. It starts off hearing keys and symphony ║ │ │║ in the background and a crunchy guitar riff ║ │ │║ starts picking up the momentum up until the ║ │ │║ chorus where the singer duels with the backup ║ │ │║ singers chanting "In the name of rock... won't ║ │ │║ ya please FUCK OFF!" When the song ends and you ║ │ │║ know the words by heart, you'll go back and play ║ │ │║ it again and stand up singing loudly pounding ║ │ │║ your fist in the air. Other songs have some ║ │ │║ catchy as hell choruses also and surprisingly ║ │ │║ they are the heavier and faster ones, which ║ │ │║ proves that The Dogma would be better off doing ║ │ │║ up-tempo songs versus the ballads. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Other highlights are the hard rock influenced ║ │ │║ guitars and guitar solos. The solos are ║ │ │║ extremely fun to listen to and very talented - I ║ │ │║ mean this guy draws influences from all over the ║ │ │║ place like shredders of today all the way back ║ │ │║ to the rockers from Metal 101. If you're a fan ║ │ │║ of Van Halen-esque solos then you'll find some ║ │ │║ thrown around in here. The vocalist is talented ║ │ │║ and can hit those high notes and his thick ║ │ │║ accent is fun to listen to combined with the ║ │ │║ oozing attitude of 80's rock bands. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ A Good Day To Die is a very unique album and ║ │ │║ intertwines many elements of different sub ║ │ │║ genres to create a rocking atmosphere on some ║ │ │║ songs and then epic orchestrations on others. ║ │ │║ Fans of power metal, symphonic metal, and people ║ │ │║ with open minds will enjoy this album. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ ║ │ │╚════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │╔═════════════════════╗ │ │║ Release Tracklist ║ │ │╚═════════════════════╩══════════════════════════════════════════ │ │ │ │ 01 - The Beginning Of The End [00:59] │ │ 02 - A Good Day To Die [03:59] │ │ 03 - In The Name Of Rock [04:02] │ │ 04 - Bitches Street [03:37] │ │ 05 - She Falls On The Grave [04:55] │ │ 06 - I Hate Your Love [04:18] │ │ 07 - Autumn Tears [04:30] │ │ 08 - Ridin┤ The Dark [04:12] │ │ 09 - Angel In Cage [04:18] │ │ 10 - Back From Hell [06:15] │ │ 11 - Feel My Pain [03:58] │ │ 12 - Buller In My Soul [04:55] │ │ 13 - Christine Closed Her Eyes [04:12] │ │ │ │ Total Length : [54:10 minn │ │ │ │ │ │ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │ ╔═════════════════════╗ │ │ ║ Greetings To: ║ │ │ ╚═════════════════════╝ │ │ │ │ Too all people who contributes to make this │ │ archive of good music in a exceptional conditions │ │ │ │ │ │ │ │■ ■│ └───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
