what is classically babylonian about "meets..." is most of all its
multilingualism thanks to the featured guests who include apart
from the already mentioned shaun ryder (ex- happy mondays, ex-
black grape), dj collage, the karandilla brass band from bulgaria,
ihu anyanwa aka g. rizo from new york, mc aladin and the brazilian
joyce muniz (shanti roots) living in vienna. but other than with
the construction of the tower of babel, there is no confusion of
languages at work here, but rather a sound aesthetic and
communicative concept. this is a spontaneous and resolving album
which brings home the belief in the slogan of music as in
     international language.
