In autumn last year Breakage AKA James Boyle announced he was back 
with a single æTreading WaterÆ and the announcement that his 
third album æWhen The Night ComesÆ was coming May 2015.

This was the return of one of UK systemÆs greats, a heavyweight 
in every sense but in particular when it comes to sub bass s
elf-expression. So skilled that RootÆs Manuva once remark he is 
ætalking to the squidsÆ and other suboceanic life.

His journey began on the drum and bass scene with his remix of 
Nasty Habits æHere Come The DrumsÆ, famed for bringing jungle 
urgency back to drum and bass. All his unclassifiable work since 
then, whether people have called it dub step, grime or drum & bass 
has had his trademark sound engineering brilliance, his unique 
sense of space and combination of dub and emotional pressure, 
creating a sleek, refractive jet-black British soul all his own.
