Erik Levander's major debut album Tonad offers melodic glitch, where
struggling sine waves, digital jars and brittle, notched chords are
being weaved into dense, comfortable soundscapes. ThereÆs the apparent
nod to music by Markus Popp, but Erik focuses more on melodies and
harmonies, and the overall impressions rather brings the thoughts to the
shoegazing pop era.
Erik Levander is a 23 year old guy from Link÷ping, Sweden, now living in
Copenhagen where he studies architecture. He has a long relationship
with music and has during the years been involved in a wide spectrum of
bands and orchestras dealing with everything from hot latino to gloomy
postrock. Strong performances with the improvisation collective "Fria
Konstellationen" (the Free Constellation) has caught some attention, as
well as his solo projects, including different kinds of electronica.
The first edition of this CD is limited in 500 copies. Highly
recommended!
