▀ ▐ swiss born shaka is a vinyl-maker and vinyl-player. ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ between 1984 and 1987 he listened mainly to hip-hop, ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ break-dance, funk and reggae. sometimes he tried to ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ turn the tables into the right beat, but wasn't really ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ deejaying yet. in 1987, he listened to his first ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ chicago and acid tracks and was immediately infected. ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ his cure consisted of playing it with turntables and ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ experiencing it through tones produced with analog ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ instruments. in the following years, he extended his ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ research in electronic music by using analog and ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ digital equipment. today, shaka creates his own sounds ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ through funk, techno, jazz and other grooves that have ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ influenced him. he knows that the process of trying new ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ combinations of sounds will never end for him and ▌ ▀
▀ ▐ that's what keeps him going. during the last 9 years, ▌ ▀
