Review:
After a few listens I guess a black metal- oriented label is quite
appropriate for these "Chants". Jeez, this is so bleak and cold -
NRT has lost the more emotional aspect he had in "Flowing
ashes" to embrace total darkness. Desolate dark ambient with a Nordic
industrial feel (Nordvargr, Megaptera), based on chilling electronic
wails, obsessive percussive loops ("Seeds"), pitch-altered vocal samples
(the twin tracks "Prophet II" and "Rex verminorum")... NRT handles all the
tools of the trade really well, and this is one more strong release under
his belt. I just think it's a bit more repetitive and less memorable than
the excellent "Flowing ashes", but on the other hand, its utter obscurity
is fascinating.
Limited to 200 copies.
NB: the tiny skips around 1:44 on track 3 and 1:35 on track 7 are on the CD
(in perfect mint state!) too. We got hold of another copy and the same
similar skips could be found. Although it is not announced as a CDR,
it is one, the digipack is just a black generic digipack with a sticker
on it to make the cover.
Anyway it is still some great dark ambient here and I hope that won't
deter you from enjoying it.

MORAL DiSCLAiMER: We are very aware of the fact that our releases
contribute to the growing sale losses of record companies.
Unfortunately our style primarily targets small, independant labels
that need sales to survive.
For these reasons we ask you not to distribute this release on public
sites or P2P tools; if more and more receive their music from the net,
artists and labels will have to face even less sells than nowadays.
Please do not consider this release as a substitute to the original, but
only as a way to check out and learn about new music.
We absolutely do not approve of DJs or other individuals that earn
money from pirated music - Don't let them get their hands on it!
By buying the albums you like you disperse the guilt we feel by
releasing this music - Enjoy the music and be fair with the artists!
YOUR support is required to keep them financially alive and producing!
