Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated actor and producer Idris Elba is to
push his body and mind to the limits in Discovery Channel's high-octane new
show - Idris Elba: No Limits. This exclusive four-part series will see Idris -
a huge fan of motorsport and extreme speed - immersing himself in aerobatics,
rally driving, drag racing, and an attempt to break the 'Flying Mile' land
speed record set by Malcolm Campbell in 1927.
Idris will join professional teams, take on challenges, receive coaching from
some of the world's leading drivers and pilots, and meet fellow speed freaks
who'll share their secrets of how to get every last ounce of power out of his
machines.
Shot on locations including Florida, California, the United Kingdom and
Ireland, each episode begins with Idris visiting a renowned motorsport
competition that will inspire his mission to take on some of the toughest
racing disciplines in the world.
To push his car or plane to the utter limit, Idris gets under the bonnet - and
plenty of miles under his belt - so he can prepare for the big race day that
will see him go head to head with the professionals. With his determination and
engineering know-how, Idris is in it to win.
