     Toronto born and raised dj/producer Kevin Moon aka moonstar brings you
     a collage of sounds as diverse as the city of Toronto itself.  Moonstar
     is able to toss the Bossa/hiphop/broken beats and dirty funky samples 
     like a salad, creating a taste sensation that begs for more.

     As co-founder of Public Transit recordings, he has been able to create 
     an outlet for local electronic music that has an environmentally sound
     vision.  One such other artist on the label is LAL - who's 2001 album 
     'corners' has received wide critical acclaim.

     Moonstar saw his success balloon after handing an EP to Gilles Peterson
     at a party Gilles was spinning in the summer of 2001.  Gilles must have
     been impressed, because since then, he has regularly played tracks like
     'Dust' and 'Greed' on his worldwide radio show, and has recently named
     Moonstar the #40 on his top artist list.

     This exposure has definately been a plus for Moonstar, with DJ's and
     artists like Rainer Truby and Michael Reinboth regularly spinning his
     stuff.  Dust even appears on the recent compost compilation "Future 
     sounds of Jazz 8".  Compost Records actually contributed to this album,
     with the Nu Era Remix of "Workin' Man's Hustle", and the compost style
     blends in nicely on the album.  Already in the works is a Dupont remix
     album due out on compost in the near future.             

     Huge props to klangwerk >> for giving the world the 11 track Dupont EP
     that was released in late 2001.  Sweetbeats is now more than proud to
