"Indian Sitar and World Jazz" is the appropriately named
first release by Mukta. The name of this French fusion band,
a big hit at last week's Quebec City Summer Festival, means
"pearl" in Sanskrit. In the words of Paris newspaper
LibΘration, you can also call these jams "instant karma".
- Marco Werman
Sitar is the star of this French quartet whose sounds are
Indian yet jazzy at the same time. Very entertaining music
and lyrics that are interesting both because of their
content and their rarity as a majority of the album is
instrumental. It's different, it's fresh, and it's good.
Enjoy!

best article I could find about the group.
