A gorgeous electronic fusion of perfectly constructed pop
arrangements against a backdrop of late night chilly beats and
endearing uptempo vibes. Intelligent thought provoking lyrics and
pleading melodies embedded in lush sonic soundscapes that are sure
to captivate the senses of even the most discriminating listener.
Cause and Effect return with their most ambitious release to date:
   The Sunrise EP.

After developing and perfecting their own brand of electronic pop
for nearly a decade, The Sunrise EP symbolizes a musical rebirth for
CandE's Rob Rowe and Keith Milo. "It's the result of a lengthy
creative search," explains Rowe. Led off by the deeply infectious
first single "Into the Light," The Sunrise EP's aural collage of
five emotionally engaging tracks range in style from the seductive
progressive house beats of "Sunrise" to the acoustic driven bliss of
   "Stay."

"There's a bit of everything we love in there," says Milo. "We
managed to bring a broad range of influences into the mix, and ended
up with a very exciting and balanced sounding record."

Cause and effect's debut album, Another Minute, stormed onto the
music scene in the early 90's scoring two top ten dance singles and
a Billboard top 20 singles hit with "You Think You Know Her." After
the tragic loss of friend, writing partner and co-founding member
Sean Rowley in late 1992, singer Rowe took a step back to
re-evaluate the band's direction and the hopes he had for the
   future.

"Playing the KROQ Acoustic Christmas Show was a turning point,"
explains Rowe, referring to the sold-out Universal Amphitheatre
performance. "The overwhelming support from the fans and audience
made me realize that giving up just wasn't an option."

Determined to pick up the pieces and move forward, Rowe teamed up
with Keith Milo, a Los Angeles based musician with a shared musical
passion and love for all things analog. Fusing their talents
together they quickly went to work writing new material and
redefining the sound of Cause and Effect. Along with drummer
Richard Shepherd, the three soon found themselves in London,
recording the band's critically acclaimed sophomore album, Trip.

A seamless integration of Rowe's evocative vocals and economical
   guitar, Milo's melodic soundscape's and Shepherd's inventive
percussion, Trip was an "affirmation of life and hope." The
aptly-named album musically documents the band's journey towards
self-discovery. In addition to receiving overwhelming critical
praise, the album spawned the thundering cross-over club hit, "It's
Over Now," which climbed to the #7 spot on Billboard's modern rock
   charts.

Despite the success of the Trip album, Cause and Effect's label Zoo
Entertainment was in severe financial turmoil as a result of growing
too quickly. After parent company BMG pulled funding and
distribution, the indie-run label soon folded.

As a response to "corporate disillusionment" and the stale, lifeless
"post-grunge era" radio of the mid 90's, CandE began to move toward
alternative methods of being heard. In 1996, they simultaneously
launched their interactive website www.causeandeffect.com and
independent label Liquefaction records as a means to communicate and
release music to their ever-growing legion of devoted fans.

"We didn't want to sit around and wait for things to happen
anymore," says Milo. "We decided it was time to make things happen
   on our own."

A year later saw the release of Innermost Station, the band's third
album. Nine extraordinary, introspective tracks including the epic
single "World is Ours," which instantly became a favorite amongst
many of their adoring fans and college radio programmers alike. Soon
after the recording of IMS was completed, drummer Richard Shepherd
amicably left the band to pursue personal interests.

In an continued effort to keep things fresh in the new millennium,
Rowe and Milo immersed themselves into the "club culture."
Launching a lateral career as a dj/ remix and production team, they
soon found themselves spinning deep-progressive sets up and down the
coast from Seattle to Los Angeles, opening for headliners such as BT
and DJ Rap along the way.

Meeting up at Milo's LA studio in the summer of 2002 marked the
second major musical turning point for CandE. Inspired by the deep,
loungy house beats of the underground, the first single "Into the
Light" represented a creative breakthrough and set the tone for the
   rest of the EP.

"Everything just fell into place after Into the Light," says Rowe.
"We both knew we had something special when that song came
   together."

Today's Cause and Effect are brimming with a renewed vigor and a
surging confidence. In addition to preparing for an upcoming
Spring/Summer tour with live and DJ dates across the U.S. They have
already begun working on a full-length follow up to The Sunrise EP
which they plan to have completed by early 2004.

"We've got a lot of creative energy that needs to be unleashed,"
says Milo. " It feels like we're entering into the most important
and prolific phase of our career."

Evidence of this surging confidence can be witnessed on all five of
the EP's dazzling masterworks. But perhaps the best example of
CandE's newfound optimism is summarized in the lyrics of "Long Way
Down," where amid a pulsing seductive sea of sound, an impassioned
Rowe croons at just a decibel above a whisper, "It's a long way down
but I'm alright, I've looked into the future, the future's pretty
   bright."

MORAL DiSCLAiMER: We are very aware of the fact that our releases
contribute to the growing sale losses of record companies.
Unfortunately our style primarily targets small, independant labels
     that need sales to survive.

For these reasons we ask you not to distribute this release on public
sites or P2P tools; if more and more receive their music from the net,
artists and labels will have to face even less sells than nowadays.
Please do not consider this release as a substitute to the original, but
only as a way to check out and learn about new music.
We absolutely do not approve of DJs or other individuals that earn
money from pirated music - Don't let them get their hands on it!

By buying the albums you like you disperse the guilt we feel by
releasing this music - Enjoy the music and be fair with the artists!
