              The best artists are always evolving,
              soaking up influences and repackaging
              them in their own particular style.
              That's certainly the case with Tru
              Thoughts stalwart Natural Self, who
              continues to surprise with each
              successive release. Having made his
              name with broken beat and nu-jazz, this
              fourth full-length sees him dabbling in
              a much more electronic sound. Within
              that wide remit, he finds time to lay
              down - and, it should be noted, sing
              over - impressive compositions
              seemingly inspired by Floating Points
              ("Metropolis"), synth-wave ("An
              Invisible Light", "Take It Back"),
              Radiohead ("Kingdom", "O Superman"),
              Depeche Mode ("Red Wire Blue Wire") and
              Flying Lotus ("Pulsar").
