     Calaisa made a journey most country groups only can dream of. In 2004 they
     went all in on a travel to Nashville, and hit the jackpot with a gold
     plated record deal with Universal Nashville - the world's most successful
     record label. They recorded a million dollar album in Nashville, and was
     marketed across the US as the new, young Swedish Dixie Chicks. The story
     about their unbelievable transfer from an indie band to an acclaimed
     industry name became top news in both Sweden and the US. Calaisa's 2006
     self-titled album went gold, led by the top single "Hey Girl". But when
     they were about to start off their US tour a Nashville record executive got
     fired - the tour was cancelled and the girls had to go home. Enough
     hardship for most groups to call it quits - but Calaisa took the positive
     with the negative and saw it as a new challenge knowing that dreams can
     become true. Still hanging on to their country roots, but also moving
     towards folk/pop and general adult contemporary, Calaisa's sophomore
     album "Grafton Street" was released in 2009 on Golden Goat, and "Up To Us"
     followed on Flagstone in 2012.

     Calaisa is Malin Tornquist, Anna Tornquist Berggrensson and Lisa Troedsson
     Lundin.
