Label : Radtone Music ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ ║ │ │╠════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╣ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Description : ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Injecting just a touch of lyrical despair into ║ │ │║ their symphonic power metal was enough to win me ║ │ │║ over, but add in that songwriter Frank TosiÆs ║ │ │║ guitarwork leans toward a shredding style & is ║ │ │║ surrounded by continuously exciting synths, and ║ │ │║ itÆs no surprise IÆve been coming back to this ║ │ │║ album ever since I saw the band live recently. ║ │ │║ ôUnder The Dark Wings Of Fireö was an instant ║ │ │║ hit for me, while the followers ôTransitus (A ║ │ │║ Passing)ö & ôIagoö are full of emotional depth, ║ │ │║ power metal drama, guitar solos, & multifaceted ║ │ │║ synths, altogether easily keeping me interested ║ │ │║ for the more than ten minutes these companion ║ │ │║ tracks add up to. Particularly in ôIago,ö ║ │ │║ vocalist Chelsea makes me feel like IÆm watching ║ │ │║ someone slowly fall into a foggy chasm, her ║ │ │║ words drifting downward with each new line, a ║ │ │║ credit to the dynamic of her naturally semi- ║ │ │║ operatic, glassy tone when paired with FrankÆs ║ │ │║ more forceful lyrics.
