dXb mainstay of Anja Schneider's mobilee collective since dXb
dXb 2010, Rodriguez Jr. has been one of the jewels in the dXb
dXb label's crown; his effervescent live sets have made dXb
dXb him one of the most exciting artists in his field, dXb
dXb while his productions remain classy, catchy and dXb
dXb always forward-thinking. The 'Chrysalism' EP sees dXb
dXb Rodriguez Jr. tireless drive to develop his sound dXb
dXb signature in full flight, all the while staying true dXb
dXb to his core production principles of creating dXb
dXb captivating, memorable electronic music. Utilised to dXb
dXb great effect in early stages of his recent live sets, dXb
dXb the title track is a master class in dramatic dXb
dXb juxtapositions and is an exquisite seven-minute dXb
dXb composition of warm uplifting synth layers that build dXb
dXb over a rough-edged clatter of drums delicately dXb
dXb balancing the elements of tension and beauty on a dXb
dXb knife's edge. 'Etoile Du Nord' (literally meaning dXb
dXb 'Star of the North') is a dreamy, propulsive slice of dXb
dXb Motor City-inspired techno and the kind you could dXb
dXb imagine soundtracking a warehouse party at 6am as the dXb
dXb sun begins to seep through the cracks in the dXb
dXb corrugated iron roof. The EP is rounded out by dXb
dXb 'Kenopsia' that evokes a kind of beautiful, eerie dXb
dXb sense of somber as delicate layers of twinkling dXb
dXb melody bubble over the contemplative patter of drums dXb
dXb and the light drone of bass. "Going back in the dXb
dXb studio after months of intense touring, almost one dXb
dXb year after my 'Persistence Of Vision' EP, has dXb
dXb resulted in strong moments of self awareness and dXb
dXb experimentation with my machines. This is why I chose dXb
dXb titles such as 'Chrysalism' and 'Kenopsia', dXb
dXb describing obscure sorrows you could sometimes feel, dXb
