| "For those of you that are unaware of the body of work by |
| trumpeter Eddie Henderson, be prepared for a shock; Mr. Henderson |
| is probably one of the most talented and innovative trumpeters of |
| the late 20th century. Having played with the early 70's Herbie |
| Hancock groups and being guided by the late great Miles Davis, |
| Eddie really has been in some of the best musical company. This is |
| quite evident on this Anthology, which spans four of his albums |
| from the 70's. The mood is always very funky, with the rhythm |
| section from The Headhunters consistantly providing jazz & funk in |
| equal measure. There are also some very spacey moments that show |
| where he took the spark from Miles and made it a fire, most |
| notably tracks like Galaxy & Involuntary Bliss". |
