A couple of groups, including us got nuked for
invalid.vorbis.album.tag_CD.is.not.part.of.the.actual.album.title
All these should be unnuked as "fine.no.such.rule".
All those vorbis album tags are valid. Invalid would
mean that they are empty and/or somehow corrupted.
If you read the rules carefully, you will find:
6.2 All FLAC files MUST have the following Vorbis
comment field names and ->CORRESPONDING<- field contents:
TRACKNUMBER, ARTIST, TITLE, ALBUM, GENRE, and DATE
(format: YYYY).
Check what 'to correspond' means in a dictionary:
'to be similar OR equal to something OR have a close
similarity; match OR agree almost exactly'
So the ruleset DOES NOT REQUIRE AN EXACT MATCH for
these field contents.
We do not care about what the ruleset 'implies' or 'wants
to say'. If it uses "correspond", in black and white,
you can not nuke such releases, simple as that.
This has nothing to do with typos in 4.12, look up "typo"
in a dictionary if you want.
In short, the ruleset does not specify what else can or
can not be in the album field, as long as it is present
and the contents "correspond" (see above).
On certain players it looks & works a lot better when
you have the source included, especially when you do
both vinyls and CD rips of albums. However, we won't
be adding these in the future.
Consequently, all the rips that propered our rips for
this reason should be nuked as invalid propers:
