I liked this review, dunno about the dcfc reference
but...
"They look like such sweet boys in photos, but musically
the Aphrodisiacs are absolutely menacing. The Scottish
trio use soothing vocals to lure you into their dark and
eerie electro rock world where tense guitars suddenly
explode over insistent clipped beats, and it's all
frightenigly catchy and incredibly good. New Order,
Depeche Mode and The Cure references abound on the more
upbeat tracks, the slower efforts warmly remininiscent
of Death Cab For Cutie, making This is a Campaign a
sparse and uttely beguiling slice of disco music for the
