sykes have been feaured in the bomb sounds online chart.
the magazine has now reviewed the album and interviewed
martin from sykes.
sykes are a new signing to iris light records and are a solo
project by martin stovey of experimental beats
outfit elixir - formerly of language - who have just signed to sub
rosa.
sykes approached iris light with an album of very relaxed dance
orientated tunes that blew us away! the coincidental
fact that they took the name sykes - the surname of the label boss
- was a pointer towards both band and label
having to work together.
sykes' debut album, which is entitled "i witness", will be
released towards the end of the year. more information will be
posted on the website as time progresses.
martin has also released music via r&s records under the moniker
professor smalls - a mini album will be released through iris
light this year.
