ltj bukem are going crazy with the releases, we can barely keep
up. people must be eating these up because they are already on
number five in the producer series but weÆre only on four. check
back with us next month. the latest installment feature tayla and
a collection of nine tunes spanning his production styles so far
and even if you get his name lost in the wash of all the artists
out there, classic tracks on this disc like bang the drums will
quickly refresh your memory. the disc starts off with an excellent
but surprising house track of all things before moving into a
string of breezy and atmospheric drumÆnÆbass breaks that are
staples in the trademark good looking sound of the early 90Æs.
when this style was just breaking, i always found it amazing just
how chilled out a 180 bpm tempo could be and found it a refreshing
polar opposite from the ragga styles that dj hype and crew were
hammering out at the time. taylaÆs studio skills and production
style fit perfectly into the good looking mission and will be
looked back upon as a landmark in the drumÆnÆbass sound.
