Release comments.:
Fat Beat Sound System was founded in the
early nineties to slow down the hectic
life. Starting as a 100% improvised quartet
with two dj: s and two horns the band
slowly developed into a Fat rhythm machine.
The players are active in many different
projects (Reuna, Nu Spirit Helsinki, XL,
Jarmo Saari Solu, Teddy Rok 7, Giant Robot
and Soul Tattoo, to name a few) so Fat Beat
Sound System has become a sofa, a resting
place for the members. The whole group
together usually conceives the songs, which
is why the sound is so organic. This you
can definitely hear on their forthcoming
debut album ôFala Falaö. The group has
released the highly acclaimed ôQuality
E.P.ö on Tiger Records (2002) and the ôBaba
Sheriff/Fala Falaö(2004) on Exogenic
Breaks.
This is a live band. And remember, the
