██▓▓ The CD series WELCOME TO THE ROBOTS gives an ██▓▓
██▓▓ overview of the electronic club music of the ██▓▓
██▓▓ early 80s: an era when the DJ was not yet a ██▓▓
██▓▓ star and when computers and synthesizers ██▓▓
██▓▓ were relatively new tools and did not yet ██▓▓
██▓▓ rule over producers. Anyone who was inclined ██▓▓
██▓▓ at the time to delve into the underground ██▓▓
██▓▓ electronic club scene in order to set ██▓▓
██▓▓ herself apart from the dreary disco monotony ██▓▓
██▓▓ of chart music for the masses is sure to ██▓▓
██▓▓ enjoy every single minute of WELCOME TO THE ██▓▓
██▓▓ ROBOTS. Most of the tracks have never before ██▓▓
██▓▓ been published in digital form. While the ██▓▓
██▓▓ first edition of the CD series was devoted ██▓▓
██▓▓ mainly to 'Electro Pioneers', i.e. to the ██▓▓
██▓▓ pure club sounds of that era, the new Volume ██▓▓
██▓▓ 2 turns the spotlight on 'Synth Pop and New ██▓▓
██▓▓ Romantic'. Unlike the first double CD, this ██▓▓
██▓▓ one is more about the typical English club ██▓▓
██▓▓ sounds such as were created very early on in ██▓▓
██▓▓ London's legendary Blitz Club. The creative ██▓▓
██▓▓ mind and muscle behind WELCOME TO THE ROBOTS ██▓▓
██▓▓ is Raphael Krickow, better known as one half ██▓▓
