Numinous
In today's dance music scene, predictable snare rolls and
anthem sets are a dime a dozen. Numinous opts for a deeper,
subtler sound. Influenced by many different styles, he does
not stick to one particular genre. Playing a unique blend of
house, trance and techno, Numinous takes you into the
journey which is his self-discovery through music. Like a
story, you can only fully understand his sets and his
productions when you hear them from start to finish.
Beginning with his first party in Miami, Florida in 1994,
Brett Abramson, aka Numinous, knew he was hooked. Soon
after, he bought a set of turntables and hasn't slowed down
since. Performing at parties and clubs around the United
States for several years now, Numinous has had the privilege
of playing with a wide array of world class talent such as
Robert Miles, Timo Maas, Josh Wink, Phil K, MV, Taylor,
Christopher Lawrence, Jeno and Terry Mullen. Based in
Atlanta, past club residencies have included Trinity, The
Chili Pepper, Groove Park and Sugar Daddies. He has also
hosted a weekly radio mix show through Emory University,
showcasing his love for the music and fluid mixing abilities
for many loyal listeners. For three years Numinous worked as
a music buyer for the Atlanta branch of the world renowned,
Satellite Records.
Currently Numinous is the Music Editor of Lunarmagazine.com,
one of the world's premier online sources for dance music
and scene related information. Always throwing down to a
packed house, Numinous has a monthly residency at Club
Illusion in Atlanta. His newest track, "Mister Cool,"
produced with Habersham, was released on Music is Freedom
Recordings in December. It is featured on the Balance 004
compilation mixed by Phil K. Upcoming productions can be
heard on Numinous and Habersham's groundbreaking new label,
Blueprint Recordings. All of this is just the beginning for
him however. "I want to push our scene forward, not just
revel in the past. This music is constantly evolving and can
move people in so many incredible ways."
