BIO - Pathos
Pathos (aka Ashton Cates) has been into electronic music all
his life. For him deejaying is just a hobby and way to relax
and enjoy music, while Architecture is his first passion.
Through his dj sets he tries to tell a story for the
listener, blending emotive and lush beats and soundscapes
together to build a cohesive structure. His style leans more
toward the futuristic and deep techy flavours, although he
plays the whole spectrum from ambient to experimental to
downtempo to tech house to atmospheric drum and bass to
straight up techno. ΓÇ£When I decided to play music for
listeners rather than dancers, it opend up so many doors for
me stylistically. I don't find myself playing in front of
packed dancefloors very often, that's just the way it is
