█ █▓█ This is Doctorolive's first release outside his █▓█ █
█ █▓█ label 'Les Disques Bazoline' since he created the █▓█ █
█ █▓█ small company in 1999. Like a feedback from his █▓█ █
█ █▓█ pop/rock/new-wave background as singer/composer █▓█ █
█ █▓█ in the late 80's-early 90's, all his current █▓█ █
█ █▓█ production is coloured by a strong vocal and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ electric touch. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ 'The End of the beginning' features Olive himself █▓█ █
█ █▓█ as lead vocalist, supported by Munchen based duet █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Silvie Meyer & Matthias Winkelmann, who are █▓█ █
█ █▓█ having here their first appearance on a record. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ The song was originally produced for a special █▓█ █
█ █▓█ project called 'Mixquisite Corpse', launched by █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Doctorolive in 2003 and yet unreleased. Olive █▓█ █
█ █▓█ borrowed lyrics written for that project by █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Baltimore-based MC & producer Kingrhythm, and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ sang it on the ending track of the 'Mixquisite █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Corpse' album. Then he did a special version of █▓█ █
█ █▓█ it for this 12". Influences that were named about █▓█ █
█ █▓█ this tune by those who already heard it include █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Depeche Mode, Beck, and Talking Heads (!). █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Mister J revisited the track in a very typical █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Missive way, offering a different █▓█ █
█ █▓█ electro/new-wave angle, at the edge of breaky and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ techy, but in any case clubby. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ 'Energy' involves other partners. Based on an █▓█ █
█ █▓█ original draft by Theo - another active █▓█ █
█ █▓█ DJ/producer from the Bazoline crew - Olive █▓█ █
█ █▓█ arranged, developed and extended it to this █▓█ █
█ █▓█ groovy breakbeat track, and invited Greg Aubry █▓█ █
█ █▓█ (a.k.a. Mana Traya) to play his Fender guitar █▓█ █
█ █▓█ part. Last but not least, lyrics and vocals were █▓█ █
█ █▓█ provided by Swamburger & Alexandra, both artists █▓█ █
█ █▓█ on Eighth Dimension Rds, the label ran by Q-Burns █▓█ █
