▐█ RELEASE NOTES: ▐█▌
▐█ █▌
▐█ splitTRACT has exploded onto the West Coast music scene with █▌
▐█ their hard groove rawk and melodic overtones. Their music may █▌
▐█ range from harmonious ballads to flat out ruthless romps, but █▌
▐█ the theme is always the same: no gimmicks just three guys █▌
▐█ rocking out. All the audience can do is set their heads to bang █▌
▐█ and get ready for a hell of a ride. █▌
▐█ █▌
▐█ They have taken a wide range of musical influences - Tool, █▌
▐█ Smashing Pumpkins, Dave Matthews and Incubus - and created a █▌
▐█ sound that is uniquely their own. It's a groove that is █▌
▐█ thoroughly enjoyed by any audience. █▌
▐█ █▌
▐█ █▌
▐█ THE STORY █▌
▐█ splitTRACT's takeover of the Vancouver rock scene began in St. █▌
▐█ Catharines, Ont. Founders Chris Witoski and Dave Fulton, with █▌
▐█ their natural talent and electric stage presence, developed a █▌
▐█ strong following in the Toronto area rock scene. Relocating to █▌
▐█ the West Coast in 2003, Chris and Dave joined forces with █▌
▐█ Vancouver bassist Earl "the Flying Squirrel" Wadden, whose █▌
▐█ creativity and varied music experience has brought them to a █▌
▐█ whole new level. █▌
▐█ █▌
▐█ splitTRACT has been taking their explosive live show on tour, █▌
▐█ playing to capacity crowds of all backgrounds across western █▌
▐█ Canada. Highlights include kicking off the Molson Indy with █▌
▐█ Default and the Trews, serenading Lord Stanley's Cup at the █▌
▐█ Tampa Bay Lightning Cup party, rocking a packed house of rabid █▌
▐█ fans at New Music West, and playing to 10,000+ runners at the █▌
▐█ Vancouver Sun Run . █▌
▐█ █▌
▐█ splitTRACT was featured on an MTV special with Brad Lukowich █▌
▐█ (Tampa Bay Lightning), that focused on music and the NHL. Their █▌
▐█ single "Bleeding" was chosen to be featured in the million plus █▌
▐█ selling video game series EA SPORTS: NHL 2005. This sparked the █▌
▐█ interest of their new sponsors Ezekiel, and got them picked up █▌
▐█ by booking agent gurus Ralph James and Omar Al-Joulani (The █▌
▐█ Agency Group). And with the radio campaign having just started █▌
▐█ in Fall 2004, already splitTRACT is getting airplay from one █▌
▐█ coast to the other. █▌
▐█ █▌
▐█ In May 2004, splitTRACT completed their 4-song EP at the █▌
▐█ world-renowned Armoury Studios in Vancouver. This self-titled █▌
▐█ debut sees the union of splitTRACT's raw energy with the musical █▌
▐█ mastery of producer Darren Grahn (Metallica, Nine Inch Nails). █▌
▐█ The album was also mixed by the legendary Randy Staub █▌
▐█ (Nickelback, Bon Jovi, U2), who worked pro bono simply because █▌
▐█ he "wanted to be a part of this project". █▌
▐█ █▌
▐█ splitTRACT is currently working on a music video for release to █▌
▐█ MTV and Much Music in the spring. They're touring Ontario and █▌
▐█ prepping for a cross Canada tour in the spring and a showcase █▌
▐█ spot at Canadian Music Week in Toronto. █▌
