And as RAM and ║ │ │║ Enforcer the guys are from Sweden. They named ║ │ │║ themselfs Ambush and the guys fire with all ║ │ │║ their guns. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Oskar Jacobsson (v), Adam Hagelin (g), Olof ║ │ │║ Enqvist (g), Ludwig Sj÷holm (b) and Linus ║ │ │║ Fritson (d) are coming from Vaxj÷, Sweden. This ║ │ │║ smaller city in Smσland seems to have a more ║ │ │║ vital metal scene considering the fact that also ║ │ │║ Bullet call this town their homebase. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ "Desecrator" is Ambush's second album following ║ │ │║ their debut "Firestorm" already in 2014. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ What started with a nostalgic feeling for ║ │ │║ traditional heavy metal, combined with a few ║ │ │║ beer, led to a new longplayer that makes a lot ║ │ │║ of fun. The joy with "Desecrator" is the ║ │ │║ airiness the five guys spread with their music. ║ │ │║ This album feels grounded and based on a passion ║ │ │║ for 80's metal, by not sounding dusty and ║ │ │║ outdated. I guess that bands like Judas Priest ║ │ │║ have been played quite often in the rehersal ║ │ │║ room of the guys. At least tunes like the title ║ │ │║ track are a clear indication for this ║ │ │║ assumption. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ "The Chain Reaction", with its simple but ║ │ │║ effective riff, made me think about the early ║ │ │║ Stormwitch while the speed train called "Faster" ║ │ │║ builds on Accept influences. The last song on ║ │ │║ the longplayer is the seven mintues long "The ║ │ │║ Seventh Seal" that is a slow crawling sonic ║ │ │║ beast that builds up to a fast metal track. It ║ │ │║ has some Maiden-like guitar melodies and the ║ │ │║ solos are perfect for playing the air guitar. ║ │ │║ It's hard to evade this metal magic. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ This album deserves to be listened loud. ║ │ │║ "Desecrator" became the album for each of you ║ │ │║ that thinks that Hammerfall lost their ║ │ │║ fascination. True heavy metal from the ║ │ │║ undergound, that's what Ambush stands for.
