Three years in the making, indie pop singer Joel Alme is now releasing his
fourth album "Flyktligan" on Razzia Records, an album featuring Alme's
first-ever lyrics in Swedish. Alme debuted with the critically acclaimed
"Master Of Cermonies" in 2008, which was followed by 2010's "Waiting For
The Bells" and 2012's "A Tender Trap" - both of which also were met by rave
reviews.
"Flyktligan" is intimate, an up-close and personal collection of songs
about Alme's youth and his family. All in all, it's both a family chronicle
and a working class drama. It's a story about escaping sorrow, escaping
upbringing. A story about those who's sacrificed, and about those who
survive. Themes are about drug abuse, single mothers' struggle, and
childhood friendship. The every day fight to break inherited patterns.
And, it's also about love.
The album was recorded and produced by Mattias Glava (Hakan Hellstrom, Anna
Jarvinen) in Gothenburg, and was led by the first single "Backa Tiden".
