│║ Messenger from Germany has been around for a ║ │
│║ good amount of years now, yet the band never ║ │
│║ really escaped the underground. The latest piece ║ │
│║ of work is the follow-up to Starwolf û Pt. 1: ║ │
│║ The MessengeRs and therefore bears the title ║ │
│║ Starwolf û Pt. 2: Novastorm, and it is exactly ║ │
│║ what you would expect if you are already ║ │
│║ familiar with the band. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Messenger plays typical German metal like ║ │
│║ Helloween, Primal Fear and because of the ║ │
│║ riffing and the love for piraty themes ║ │
│║ especially Running Wild. Since Starwolf part 1 ║ │
│║ the band definitely made some progress in ║ │
│║ writing and arranging the songs, making this one ║ │
│║ a more pleasurable listen than its predecessor. ║ │
│║ Take the title track, a very nice heavy metal ║ │
│║ anthem that keeps the pace up and is very catchy ║ │
│║ due to the tasteful choirs. We can say the same ║ │
│║ about the Freedom Call breathing Warrios æs ║ │
│║ RideÆ. Unfortunately, the album comes with its ║ │
│║ lesser songs like æPrivateer Æs HymnÆ, in which ║ │
│║ the chorus is repeated until it becomes nerve- ║ │
│║ racking. But fontunately, the fine songs are in ║ │
│║ a majority, so the album leaves a positive ║ │
│║ impression. This second part is definitely nicer ║ │
│║ than part one, but nothing here that will shake ║ │
│║ the foundations of Germany. ║ │
