Release Notes
SupaFunky Electronic Dance Music for the raver who wants to be reminded of
God's love while dancing.
Antidote is Jorge and Leigh Goyco and they live in Austin, Texas.
They have played in and around the Austin, Texas area, as well as Cornerstone
'97, '98 & '99 in Bushnell, Illinois (a 5 day music festival). They have also
performed at several venues in San Antonio, Ft. Worth, Dallas, Houston,
Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
Antidote's live performance consists of Jorge spinning antidote tracks on a
dual CD mixer along with strange noises and interludes and recorded samples of
sermons being preached right along with the music. They've also got some cool
1960s-70s educational films and some animated loops that have been mixed and
intertwined onto video (VHS), and dancing mascots.
Antidote's mission: To present God's good new of Jesus to the world's ravers,
to help keep Christian Ravers from going astray by encouraging them into a
deeper relationship with God, and to fight in prayer and love for all the
world's ravers.
Note: "What Mountain?" is a very rare "prerelease" from Antidote that
predates their debut album Fight or Flight. The artworks are very similar too.
It is still mentionned on the label's website:
http://www.nsoul.com/artdisp.cfm?artistnum=17
It has no catalog number, the CD artwork has no spines as it's only made of
twice the same 12*12 cm flyer. Though it's not labelled as a promo, and is a
regularly replicated CD. As can be seen on the back, it looks like this album
was specifically manufactured to sell/give at the Cornerstone festival 98,
Illinois, USA.
It is available on iTunes, so you may buy it if you like it :)
