William Thurman aka Royer follows up two astounding releases for Material
Image with a deep, curdling EP of wandering house for Lobster Theremin.
Picking up where his last excursions left off, Collectively finds Royer on
typically dreamy form, taking micro-thought experiments and carving them
into evolving, metamorphic journeys that capture as much the ambience of
late night Paris as the spirit of US house music. To even the balance,
German newcomer TRP fires up the cannons for a tough, bouncing remix on the
B2. Crackling and chugging with dust-coated drums and pads, this is a
serious floor-banging rework right here. Original artwork comes from Royer
himself, with full artwork matte sleeve, warm red centre labels and a
mind-bending B&W A4 insert.
