| Hmmm....turn those lights off, slouch back in a large comfy |
| chair and light your favourite 'natural' herb. Now start the |
| stereo. This album is, quite simply, gorgeous on the ears; a |
| wonderful, dreamy ambient excursion into sheer nothingness and |
| back. It is a seamless journey through the soundscapes capable |
| with the electronic medium (and a choice bit of sampling). |
| Across the immense plain that is natural frequency (filled with |
| echoed musings and sounds that instil a sense of travel), then |
| it is on, Downstream, to be carried away by the bubbling sounds |
| far into the darkness and on to a Moonrise. |
| |
| And so the music continues (I'll stop the picture painting now) |
| in a thoroughly relaxing, utterly calming way until with a |
| feeling of sorrow the whole lovely album comes to an end. It's |
| a shame albums like this don't come along that often (this is |
| real ambient music - the stuff The Orb's dreams were made of) |
| but then, perhaps, it wouldn't be so special. Mixmaster Morris |
