"supa sista" is the first release from ursula ruckers
debut album with the same title. with three remixes,
philadelphia┤s supersister gets hailed.
the "numerican jazz remix" was produced by the society,
a danish producer duo that released tracks on the belgian
r&s label under the moniker tournesol. ursula rucker
liked the demotape of the two northerns so much, she asked for an
immediate remix. with their treatment, "supa sista"
was reshaped into a superb electronic free jazz tune.
ursula was so impressed by it┤s quality, she spontaneously decided
to be contribute to a track of the society┤s debut album.
?uestloce, the man with the question mark, known as ahmir and the
head of philly hip hop legends the roots, mixed
"supa sista" with a rough and funky beat in a true the roots
flavour into a very earthy tune.
last but not least modaji, one hald of londons restless soul
productions. in his rework ge lets ursula rucker talk on
the sound of atmospheric funk. deep shit means deep words.
