█ Eardelete used to be called Negligent Collateral █
█ Collapse and thatÆs my favourite band in this █
█ style û it took the basic influences of Goregrind █
█ and mutated it, turned it sci-fi, and not in a █
█ strictly Cybergrind manner either. ItÆs Goregrind █
█ but a cyborg version of it. ThatÆs unique. These █
█ days that means a lot to this kind of music which █
█ is starting to simply repeat itself unfortunately. █
█ Members include Robocop and thatÆs the best way to █
█ put û human Goregrind created by a mechanical █
█ contraption, restricted in its movements but █
█ fricking cool nonetheless. The grooves have their █
█ trademark catchiness, perhaps not the easiest to █
█ get, especially if youÆve checked out the N.C.C. █
█ material which is slightly slower in comparison û █
█ you have to get under its skin, so to speak. █
█ ThatÆs my only bitch about this band û that itÆs █
█ relatively slow and in the course of evolution █
█ since the early days, it hasnÆt really expanded or █
█ improved on the extremity. Everything else is █
█ better and rather untouchable û this band is █
█ virtually without peers. █
█ Eardelete over here have a Devil-themed album █
█ aptly called æDevilogyÆ which is hilarious because █
█ everything is tongue-in-cheek including song █
█ titles for example Hellburger, Hellboy, 666 Dicks █
█ and so on. They even have some excerpt from movies █
█ with a relevant subject û exorcism and all that. █
█ Musically, itÆs Goregrind with clout, Death Metal █
█ riffing executed with a Goregrind fervour. What I █
█ like about this release is that itÆs heavier than █
█ the previous outputs and relatively faster too. █
█ ThatÆs all the more awesome and easily stands out. █
█ Innovativeness is what the band excels in and █
█ thereÆs even an ABBA cover I think called sABBAth. █
█ If you know me, you know IÆve been into music █
█ since over a decade and by now itÆs only the █
█ innovative bands that truly excite me û the rest, █
█ well, I can appreciate the musical prowess but █
█ itÆs all something IÆve heard before and thatÆs █
█ how itÆs going to be in the future as well. █
█ Eardelete here is from the future. Enough said. █
