█║░ minutes long, you usually don't start ░║█
█║░ things off with a "bang". You slowly ░║█
█║░ build up to the "bang" as Japan's ░║█
█║░ Green Milk from the Planet Orange is ░║█
█║░ successfully able to pull off on He's ░║█
            █║░ Crying "Look". ░║█
            █║░ ░║█
█║░ The album starts off with "When Every ░║█
█║░ Colour Turns Black," which begins ░║█
            █║░ with a raga-themed melody line ░║█
            █║░ augmented with a trumpet before ░║█
            █║░ dropping off into a spoken-word ░║█
█║░ segment and then climaxing into an ░║█
            █║░ uptempo Hendrix-y jam featuring the ░║█
█║░ guitar work of K (no names here, just ░║█
█║░ single letters), then ending the song ░║█
█║░ with a return to the raga theme. The ░║█
█║░ only negative point on He's Crying ░║█
█║░ "Look" are the lyrics. This album ░║█
█║░ would be better served if it was just ░║█
█║░ instrumental. Take a sample of the ░║█
            █║░ lyrics of "Sweet 5 A.M."- "Slowly I'm ░║█
            █║░ filled with solitude, I'm drowned ░║█
█║░ into the silence of blue," which are ░║█
█║░ just pure high school. (Although, I ░║█
█║░ suppose they can be forgiven, as ░║█
            █║░ English is obviously a second ░║█
█║░ language.) The backing music is far ░║█
█║░ more interesting than the muted, ░║█
            █║░ rambling sensitivities. ░║█
            █║░ ░║█
            █║░ The 18-minute long "U-Boat" is a ░║█
            █║░ violent wah-wah pedal-inspired ░║█
█║░ workout that I can only describe as ░║█
█║░ Black Flag's Greg Ginn jamming Trey ░║█
█║░ from Phish before turning into an ░║█
            █║░ ambient noisefest comparable to MC5's ░║█
█║░ take on Sun Ra's "Starship". The CD ░║█
█║░ ends with "In the Space, Far Away ░║█
█║░ from This Planet," an interesting ░║█
█║░ sonic experiment of silence and ░║█
            █║░ sparce music/noise which grows into a ░║█
            █║░ bluesy, almost Black Sabbath-y jam. ░║█
            █║░ ░║█
█║░ Despite the lengthy song times, Green ░║█
█║░ Milk from the Planet Orange manages ░║█
█║░ to avoid the downfall of many ░║█
