Need an alternative festive record to get the family
dancing this Christmas ?. Well this wont make 'em
dance but with the help of a bucket of eggnog it
might just help you forget Band Aid 2004's worthy but
god-awful release. It's a strictly limited edition
(500 only!) seasonal two-tracker from our Icelandic
chum Stafraenn Hakon. Released to round off a pretty
amazing year for Stafraenn Hakon, this one-off
pressing features two Christmas 'classics' redone in
the Hakon style!. Pressed on black vinyl and wrapped
in a metallic ink adorned foldout sleeve. All
proceeds will go to the Hakon European tour 2005 fund

review:
Resonant continues its splendid obsession with all
things icelandic, on this cheeky, chunky little
christmas seven, achingly a week after the holidays.
Staffron manfully tackles the Band Aid tune on æHva,
pekkja pau ekki jolin?Æ, no Dizzee on this one of
course, but lends it a yearning, strummed acoustronic
air, which fans of the man, the label and for example
Erlend Oye or His Kings Of Convenience should love.
æSidustu jolÆ deals with the auld george michael
andrew ridgely abomination and actually brings out
the song and not the schlock. Buy early for next
december, or pay now and leave those faerie lights up
just a few weeks more. Now, who ate all those Quality
Street? -boomkat
