"Es ganz banal ,Debüⁿtalbum" zu nennen, wäre zwar
strenggenommen richtig, keinesfalls jedoch treffend, weil
irreführend und implizierend, dass diese Band lediglich eine
kurze Geschichte mit sich herum schleppte. Olsen And The
Hurley Sea sind seit vielen Jahren unterwegs. Konsequent zog
es die Band um den Berliner Bohemien Ole Ortmann auf die
Kleinstbühnen, in die Kneipen und Spelunken halb Europas.
Entschuldigung, aber das alles ohne je ein Album angeboten
zu haben? Außergewöhnlich! Ja, und eben genauso klingt
dieses Album: außergewöhnlich. Und mit dem Zweifel
verbunden. Eine erhabene Zerstörtheit, wie man sie ansonsten
nur von Drag City- oder `Secretly Canadian'-Bands kennt. Man
fühlt sich erinnert an "Jefferson At Rest" von den Early Day
Miners, an "The Magnolia Electric Co" von Songs: Ohia, an
Will Oldham. Eine herrliche Platte! Endlich, nach all den
