Kristofer ┼str÷m is finally back as a re-invented and completely reinvigorated
artist after three long years of silence. After disbanding Fireside in the
nineties, ┼str÷m released 8 studio albums, become a Grammy nominee in his native
Sweden, and has done numerous of tours, but since 2012 he had been sadly quiet.

Breaking his silence only a week ago, his new album æThe Story of a HeartÆs
DecayÆ arrived in G÷teborgs Radiofoniska Werkstad, combined with the thought of
keeping the songs into a solid album format û to write a collection of songs
where every note were equally strong parts to the whole.

Lead track æFine LineÆ certainly kicks things off strong, travelling down a
journey that draws a fine line between modern art and distant odes Fleetwood Mac
and Jackson Browne. First and foremost though, it sounds like Kristofer ┼str÷m
in his truest form.

The album was recorded live and all involved got pretty clear guide lines to
follow: No instruments or microphones manufactured after 1978 was to be used.
The aim: An old sound, without sounding old. Old but new.
