│║ debut album ôA Deep Breath Of Lifeö (see ║ │
│║ elsewhere), is this here ôFerrum Gravisö, the ║ │
│║ second album from German metallers Viron. ║ │
│║ Since the band name was changed from Seduction ║ │
│║ into Viron, two releases have found their way to ║ │
│║ the public: a four-track demo, called ôNWOGHMö ║ │
│║ (New Wave Of German Heavy Metal), and a ║ │
│║ full-length debut album, also called ôNWOGHMö. ║ │
│║ The æNWÆ part of both titles must be meant as a ║ │
│║ joke, because the music of Viron is certainly ║ │
│║ not new. On the contrary, itÆs nothing more (or ║ │
│║ nothing less, depending on your point of view) ║ │
│║ than classic or true metal, with excursions ║ │
│║ towards speed and thrash metal. Although IÆm not ║ │
│║ really a fan of this kind of material, I have to ║ │
│║ admit that the album has some interesting ║ │
│║ moments (e.g. ôMetal Ballö), where the band ║ │
│║ members show that they can be creative within a ║ │
│║ ælimitedÆ genre as pure metal. So, if youÆre ║ │
│║ looking for real metal (or ôFerrum Gravisö in ║ │
│║ Latin), this album will be capable to satisfy ║ │
│║ your appetite. ║ │
