 ██▓      includes lots more genre-crossing weirdness. Peoplewatching      ▓██
 ██▓      drops on April 28 through Dare to Care Records, and it can be    ▓██
 ██▓      streamed ahead of time on Exclaim!                               ▓██

 ██▓      The album features James Brown/Parliament-Funkadelic trombone    ▓██
 ██▓      player Fred Wesley, dancehall musician Josey Wales, jazz         ▓██
 ██▓      pianist Oliver Jones, and Quebecois artists Pierre Perpall and   ▓██
 ██▓      Yves Lambert.                                                    ▓██

 ██▓      The influences are diverse, although most of the album can       ▓██
 ██▓      loosely be described as hip-hop. The title track sports lush     ▓██
 ██▓      orchestrations, funky soul grooves and rapping, while            ▓██
 ██▓      "Dreaming" mixes jazz piano with DJ scratching, and "Booty       ▓██
 ██▓      Call" is an infectious dancehall foray. Elsewhere, "Hutchison    ▓██
 ██▓      St." is a stripped-down number consisting of lounge piano and    ▓██
 ██▓      piano, and danceable closer "Curried Soul" is an instrumental    ▓██
