Formed in 1990, Scary ╔ire, are Irelands pioneering hip hop outfit. Their
music is a melting pot of styles, blending together hip hop, reggae,
jazz, punk, ska, and traditional Irish. This unique sound sealed a major
recording contract for them with Island records. The deal was short lived
and Scary ╔ireÆs recordings were shelved. The band went their separate
ways and in 2007, a staggering 13 years later, their debut album ôThe
Scary Eraö finally got its release. The album captures a pre-celtic tiger
ireland with a ôkick in the arseö attitude that sounds as relevant today
as ever ...
